There'll be a wire from the badge back to the body computer. If the car's unlocked, it'll open the boot using the same wire as if you'd pressed the fob. Start stop and dna stuck in n mode happens to my 2018 Giulia about once a year, also ac blows but vents stuck which fixes itself by a restart. As for as dna and start stop usually by the time I get close to my scheduled appointment it straightens out.
